As a Science Writing Intern at the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, NY, I wrote two press releases and five feature stories for the Lab's Media & Communications Office.

I also crafted social copy for X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Threads to accompany each story, plus created Instagram Reel social copy for @brookhavenlab's 9.5K followers.

I interviewed chemists, engineers, ecologists, and physicists and scheduled union-approved photoshoots. I navigated the DOE style guide and multi-stage review process.
